Infor®, a cloud provider specialized by industry, announces that Exadis—a specialist in upstream logistics for the multi-brand automotive aftermarket—has decided to migrate its ERP to the cloud.
Exadis, which was already relying on the Infor M3 “on-premise” solution, has renewed its trust in Infor as part of its project to migrate to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud with theInfor CloudSuite Distribution Enterprise solution, the Infor Factory Track production automation solution, and the ADS solution from Infor's partner, Authentic Group.
Founded in 2006, Exadis underwent a capital restructuring in 2019 with the entry of Mobivia Group (44.25%) alongside Renault Group (44.25%) and the Renault Dealers Group, GCR (11.5%) who have been present since 2016. The company, headquartered in Saint-Priest (Lyon), specializes in the logistics of automotive spare parts. It has 85,000 product references, which it coordinates the distribution of from its eight sites across France.
At the heart of Exadis' IT transformation project is aseries of business, operational, strategic, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) challenges.The Infor solution will be able to address these challenges to also support the company's growth, which has increased its revenue by 30% per year over the last two years to reach 92 million euros by the end of 2022. The project started in February 2023, and the solution is expected to go into production – fully transitioning across Exadis' eight sites – by September 2024.
It was vital to invest to maintain Exadis' lead (one of the very few players with a homogeneous IT system and a unique ERP) and to strengthen its position.“A first wave of investments was initially made in 2022,”, explains Romain Hourné, Exadis' Chief Information Officer.“Based on the company's strong results as early as 2021, our shareholders indeed committed totransformation efforts in logistics and IT infrastructure.For example, through increasing our storage capacity, adding mechanization modules, renovating our networks, etc. The information system has also evolved in terms of business with developments around a first proprietary CRM module and the integration of a BI solution (Qlik Sense) that was immediately implemented with the arrival of our General Management.
The reason for choosing the Infor CloudSuite Distribution Enterprise solution is partly explained by the historical partnership that links Exadis to Infor.“We were indeed among the first customers of Infor M3 in France in the sector and very satisfied with this implementation.”,Romain Hourné adds.“But over time, the evolution of usage, the complexity of the distribution chain, it had become impossible for us to continue specific developments to integrate the innovations that were multiplying more and more. Our information system was becoming almost obsolete on specific logistics issues that we can now address with the new cloud solutions.We can now tackle specific logistics issues with the new cloud solutions.: inventory management, VMI for customers and suppliers, order consolidation, transportation cost rationalization, advanced reverse logistics, process automation, enhanced drop shipping, not to mention the incredible connectivity challenges.
