In what context do the training actions you are going to talk about take place?
Romain Hourné: On the occasion of my surprise report made during my appointment as CIO, I realized that users knew how to carry out their processes but were not able to evolve the settings according to our current needs. This can be explained by a significant turnover within the company. Many people have joined the company and were not familiar with Infor M3. Their knowledge came through operational experience. But the operational staff is not involved in the settings or in questioning the process.
I therefore identified a need fortaking control of the Infor M3 ERPby the existing teams.
Moreover, we were then in the scoping study phase for the ERP migration and this training action was timely to raise awareness among the functional teams about the capabilities of M3 in its standard.
What type of profiles were these trainings aimed at?
Romain Hourné: To functional profiles, business managers. The training lasted3 days on site: a day on the fundamentals and the core curriculum, a day on procurement, and a day on logistics.
How was the training content constructed?
Romain Hourné: The training consultant came on-site prior to the training toaudit our processesand understand our mode of operation. We have an accumulation of specifics that have diverted the solution from its standard. It was important for the consultant to see how the teams work operationally in order to be able to re-explain the standard and its capabilities. Our goal is to return to the M3 standard, and the consultant was able to explain the best practices and what could be done in standard.
What is your assessment of this training?
Romain Hourné: I am satisfied because Authentic has managed to provide us with atailored training. Having the consultant on-site allowed us to raise some specific operational questions that were then addressed during the training.
You are also one of the first clients to benefit from e-learning training modules developed by Authentic?
Romain Hourné: Indeed, our ERP project manager who just arrived in January was able to benefit from e-learning training. His feedback is very positive.
