An Interview with Jérôme BERNARDEAU

In what context do the training actions you are going to talk about take place?

Jérôme Bernardeau: FICOFI initiated an internal transformation in July 2022. We are currently changing our processes and realigning them with the transfer of our business from France to Asia. As part of this transformation project, which will last a year, we are reviewing our processes and IT solutions. Infor M3 is our ERP and is used by our teams based in France, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

The teams have quite different levels of expertise on M3. Historically, we have a lot of expertise in France, in French. In Singapore, the teams are English-speaking and less familiar with M3. The ways of working and operating of our Finance teams in France and Asia are also quite different. Therefore, we wanted to upgrade the teams to have the same skills on M3 across all our entities.

What type of profiles were these trainings aimed at?

Jérôme Bernardeau: At Finance business profiles. The employees in Asia were less familiar with the ERP than those in France.

How was the training plan developed?

Jérôme Bernardeau: We informed the Educational Manager at Authentic that we wanted to train the teams on the different Finance modules of M3. She proposed an agenda that we submitted to the teams in France and Asia. They provided their feedback and requested some adjustments. The training plan was therefore truly tailored to our needs.

What training arrangement was ultimately proposed to you by Authentic?

Jérôme Bernardeau: Authentic provided us with a program for 10 training sessions, each lasting 2 hours, conducted remotely and in English.

What is your assessment of these training sessions?

Jérôme Bernardeau: The feedback is very positive. People learned a lot. The Authentic trainer managed to adapt to the audience, which was diverse in terms of skill levels on M3. He was able to engage everyone.

The trainer also managed to adapt based on the questions asked during the training sessions. This sometimes led him to deviate from the initially defined outline. We really appreciated this flexibility.
